Who we are
We're Ignacio and Maricar.
We have two young kids who have taught us a great many things — including the fact that going out to eat as a family doesn't have to feel like a survival exercise.
We know that feeling all too well: arriving at a restaurant, quietly asking to be seated in a corner, and then spending the entire meal making sure the kids don't bother the table next to you. The tension. The whispers. Half a portion of croquetas on the floor.
All while trying to hold a proper adult conversation.
Kids are kids. Things fall, drinks spill, someone stands up at the wrong moment — and all of that is part of growing up. What really matters to us is that children get to be out in the world, not always cooped up at home. And that the grown-ups can actually enjoy the meal without that knot in their stomachs.
We don't want to go to places where kids are a nuisance to everyone else. But we also don't want our kids to feel unwelcome. There's a middle ground, and it exists — you just need to know where to look.
So we built con parque de bolas: an honest directory of restaurants where kids have their own space, parents can breathe, and everyone actually has a good time.
No complicated filters. No guesswork. Just real places, tested by real families.
We're starting with what we know best — Jerez and El Puerto de Santa María — and growing from there, at our own pace.
If you know a place that should be here, or just want to say hello, drop us a line.
